Although the outdoor track team can trace its history back to the late 1950's, indoor track wasn't an option until the early 1970's. At the same time that North Attleboro moved into their new high school on Landry Avenue, Franklin was completing their new indoor track facility - thus giving Hockomock League teams a venue for indoor meets. In the early 80's, the advent of tax regulating "Proposition 3.5" placed a financial burden on school systems. One drastic measure was the elimination of some sports programs. Though extremely successful at the time, the NA indoor track program was axed. As you follow the history of the program, you will see a gap that was closed with the re-instatement of indoor track in 1985.

This page is a work in progress. The history, won/loss record and scoring records continue to be updated as research permits. It falls onto the indoor track alumni to fill in the gaps. Any information (with supporting documentation) is appreciated. For the history page, anyone willing to write a 150-250 word description of any missing year will be credited when their write-up is added to the site.
