1990
Record 8-0 Captains Mike Garrow, Brian Lacasse, Peter Cragan Head Coach Dwight Estey Assistant Coaches Jacquie Cavallaro, Ken Nally, Laurie Blake A team of 48 athletes swept through the season undefeated, the closest meet being a 6 point victory over Stoughton. They also claimed a State Class C Relays title. Three athletes eclipsed the magic 100-point barrier, Chris Sullivan (117.85), Rick Johnson (107.93) and Jim Sullivan (103.93). There were four All Hock selections: C. Sullivan (SP), J. Sullivan (HJ), Johnson (100MH) and Peter Cragan (Jav). Besides breaking a shot put record that stood for 24 years Sullivan was selected to the All-Globe team. The other two records set were Johnson (110M hurdles) and Cragan (Jav) |

Record 8-0 Captains Chris Sullivan, Al St. Jean, Ken Domuczucz Head Coach Dwight Estey Assistant Coaches Jacquie Cavallaro, Ken Nally, Laurie Blake North runs the table again to extend their unbeaten streak to 21. They lapped the competition in the league meet scoring 152 points to second place Stoughton’s 75. They also claim their second consecutive State Class C Relays. North has the most 100pt. scorers in history: Jason Feid (170.66), Chris Sullivan (153.52), Jim Sullivan (108.67), Will Morrow (108) and Steve Pratt (105). Both Sullivan were double winners in the league meet. Joining them on the All-Hock team were Feid, and the 4X4 team of Dave Dromsky, Matt Wernborg, Todd Sawyer, Morrow). Also voted in were Pratt and Derek Herber. Chris Sullivan broke the school records in both shot (57’5.5”) and disc (158’1”) and was the State and New England shot put champion. He was chosen All-Globe for the second consecutive year. Feid broke the javelin record (191’10”) and Pratt tied the 300MH record (42.0). North also had a good showing at the State Decathlon with Feid placing 7th. |

Record 10-0 Captains Kurt Fritzsche, Richard Ionelli, Marc Lefebvre Head Coach Dwight Estey Assistant Coaches Chris Perron, Ken Nally, Laurie Blake What looked like a rebuilding year blossomed into another undefeated campaign, raising the unbeaten streak to 31 meets. Two meets came down to exciting come from behind relay victories anchored by Swedish exchange student Mats Lindskog. Three major factors contributed to their continued success. #1. The unanticipated arrival of Lindskog, #2. Tremendous improvement of previously untested athletes. Besides Lindskog there were four other first-time 100 point scorers: Marc Lefebvre (162.66), Dan Feid (147), Lindskog (109.75), Joe Brauninger (109.5) and Keith Austin (108). #3 was the timely addition of two freshman who became the leading freshman scorers all-time: Phil Allessi 51.16 and Ethan Estey (46). North also won their second consecutive league meet victory with Lefebvre, Austin, Pat Merriam, Lindskog, Rich Fong, Estey, and Fritzsche all gaining All-Hock status. They went on to place 4th in the state class meet and Lefebvre went on to be State Champion in shot put and place 2nd in New England. Although no varsity records were broken Estey (400-53.1) and Allessi, (LJ 19'11")set freshman marks. |

Record 10-0 Captains Pat Merriam, Mike Robin, Donnie Weeden Head Coach Dwight Estey Assistant Coaches Chris Perron, Ken Nally, Laurie Blake The closest meet in another undefeated season was a ten pointer against Stoughton. The win streak is now 41. North also took home another league meet title. Phil Allessi led a school record six 100pt. scorers. Allessi (130.5), Pat Merriam (125), Jon Bourbeau (113.66), Joe Brauninger (12), Don Weeden (103.25), and Ethan Estey (102.91). The 4 X 800 M set the State Class B record then went on to place third in the state finals and fourth in the New Englands. That team of seniors Eric Roland, Derek Ellis, and Weeden with soph Estey continually lowered the record all season. Merriam, Allessi, Brauninger and Weeden were All-Hocks. Merriam (110MH-14.7) and Rich Fong (300MH-41.7) set school records. The team of Allessi, Estey and Brauninger won the class relay HJ title with a school record 18’2”. Ellis 8th and Fong 5th had strong heptathlon showings. |

Record 10-0 Captains Terrance Aussant, Jon Bourbeau, John Paul Livingstone Head Coach Dwight Estey Assistant Coaches Chris Perron, Jason Gittle, Laurie Blake A fifth consecutive undefeated season and school record 51 consecutive victories- ho hum. North boys outscored their opponents 751-329 in dual meets – the closest being 14 point victories over Stoughton and King Philip. They also won their 4th consecutive Kelley Relays title. Phil Allessi (181.41), Jon Bourbeau (132.66), Chris Deschenes (117.21) and Terrance Aussant (111.50) all joined the “Century Club”. Bourbeau (Disc), Deschenes (LJ), Ethan Estey (400) and Allessi (HJ) received All-Hock honors for winning their respective events in the league meet. Aussant was voted to the team. Allessi shattered the school high jump record clearing 6’10”. Aussant broke the 300MH record at 40.3. |

Record 9-1 Captains Phil Allessi, Chris Deschenes, Ethan Estey Head Coach Dwight Estey Assistant Coaches Chris Perron, Jason Gittle, Laurie Blake North wins 9 consecutive meets before dropping a decision to Feehan in a tri-meet. The streak ends at 59 and is the longest win streak of any sport in NA history. They set a league meet record of 156 points winning 10 of the 16 events. Dennis Carley (disc-147’), Phil Allessi (HJ-6’6), Chris Deschenes (LJ- 20’1, 100M-11.3,4X100), Ethan Estey (800-2:00.3, 4X400), Latif Thomas (400M –50.1, 4X400), and Ed Couturier (SP-47’2, and Jav-171’2) are All-Hocks as well as Pat Beith, Leo Dohrity, Matt Feid and Mark DiBiasio for their relay work. Shawn Kelley and Jesse Austin were voted in as well. Deschenes (163.16), Allessi (158.5), Thomas (135.27), and Couturier (134) led all scorers. Leading the 4th place finish in the class meet were champions Latif Thomas – (49.3 = class B record), Couturier (51’7) and 2nd place Estey (1:58.5) Latif went on to place 2nd in state finals with a school record 48.8 and 2nd in New England at 49.91. He also had set the school record in the 200M - 22.1 at the South Shore Invitational. |

Captains Pat Beith, Shawn Kelly, Latif Thomas Coach Chris Perron Assistant Ted Barrett North suffered close Hockomock losses to KP and Sharon. Their record of 7-3 wasn’t indicative of the team’s strength as they came storming back to easily win the league meet title – their 6th consecutive. Shawn Kelly (SP-45’9, Disc 147’3), Jesse Austin (Jav-188’)6”), Pat Beith (300MH-40.6, 100M-10.9), Latif Thomas (400M-50.1) and the 4X100 of Mark Dibiasio, Chris Rushlow, Ethan Hamilton and Matt Feid were All-Hocks based on their league meet victories. Kelly led all scorers with 137.93 points followed by Beith (108.5), Austin (106.65) and Thomas (98.2). Austin broke the javelin record with a toss of 199’10” and the team of Feid, Rushlow, Beith and Thomas broke the 4X100M record (43.9). Thomas successfully defended his class B title running 50.3. Austin placed 2nd at the class B’s (199’10”)and came back to place 4th in New England (191’9”) |
