2006 Record 7-1

Captains : Jenna Banks and Adrienne Goldberg

A team of over 50 runners came together to gain a three-way tie for the league championship. The season started with an exciting two-point victory over Franklin. The only loss was to Mansfield. This team was balanced with talented athletes in every event. A big boost came from a resurging distance crew that outscored every team in the 1000M to 2 mile. NA placed 2nd in the league championship behind Mansfield. NA scored in every event and Jenna Banks was the league champion in the mile (5:22). School records were set in the two-mile (Jenna Banks), 300M (Kristen McLoughlin) and 1000M (Sara Krasney). The shuttle dash relay team of Kali Barrett, Adrienne Goldberg, Kathleen Hennessey and Lauren Goldberg won the Class B relays in school record time. The 4X200M team of Kristen McLoughlin, Kathleen Hennessey, Adrienne Goldberg and Katy Flannery broke the school record and placed 1st in the MIAA Class B Meet. Also going on to state finals were Kristen McLoughlin (4th in the 300 at Class B) and Kathleen Hennessey (5' - high jump).

Jenna Banks, Kathleen Hennessey and Kristen McLoughlin received Hockomock League All-Star Status. Junior Kathleen Hennessey was the team's leading scorer with just over 77 points while sophomore Amanda Parker was second at 57.50. Juniors were the highest scoring class.

Thirty four girls came out to post a second place finish in both the dual meet and league championship meet. At the league meet Caitlin Hurley was 55M champion at 7.34 setting a meet record. Katie Brunelle set a school record of 3:14.51 FAT in the 1000M and Adrienne Acosta had a PR throw of 34’5”. Hurley also placed third at the state coaches invitational, second in the Class B championships and 6th at state finals and third in the New Englands. Her 6.0 50yd. dash at Franklin tied Melody Johnson’s school record. The 4X200M team of Jane Casey, Meghan McKenna, Erica Staab and Hurley placed 4th in the Class B meet. Junior Hurley led all scorers with 99 points with senior Jane Casey scoring 56.

Casey Finnegan lead all scorers with 67.5 points closely followed by Janet Pailes (52.25) and Vanessa Megna (47.33). The 4X50MH team of Megna, Amy Walkins, Heidi Charlebois and Amy Billings took second at the state Class B Relays. Pailes had the highest placement in the Class B championship at 4th in the 600M (1:41.2). Finnegan was league champ in the 300M (42.9) and Erin McDavitt placed 2nd in the 55M dash (7.8).

This became the first official girls' team and 26 girls joined. Both the girls and boys teams were put under the direction of one coach, Dwight Estey, with Charlie Ayotte as assistant. Five girls gained All-League status, Melody Johnson (SP), Debbie Schromm (50), Beth Pfefferle (600), Tracey Elliott (HJ) and Karen Pearce (50YDH). In addition Pfefferle placed 4th in the Class C 600M and Pearce was second in the high jump in Class C.
