This was the #1 throw in the nation in 1986 and at that point was the #5 throw all-time for a high school female. Comment : This was the third time in four years that this record was broken. This team came within .06 of the previous record at the State Relays, then shattered it at the McIntyre Elite Meet. A week later they ran 1:45.97, breaking the MSTCA Elite Meet record and qualifying for nationals. At Division ii they placed 2nd at 1:47.37. At state finals they proved that timing is everything. The team brought home North's first indoor state championship in a relay event at school record time. | This team first ran 4:11.33 at the Class B Relays, breaking the record of 4:11.7 set in 2000. This was a true team effort as the team ran even splits (63.3, 63.2, 62.2, 62.2). They then went on to run two seconds faster in the Hockomock Championships, placing second. After placing 4th at the Division 2 Meet, they went on to place 7th in the MIAA State Championship Meet with 4:07.66 The order of runners was slightly different each time they broke the record. | |||

| Comment : This record was set while winning the Class B Relays at MIT. This team went on to compete at the National Championships at Yale University. This group held the outdoor record until 2005. Karen (held indoor records in the 1000M, Mile and 2 Mile) and twin sister Kristen were juniors. Sarah (holds 800M outdoor frosh record) was a freshman and Beth (holds outdoor records in the 400 and 800) was a senior captain. | |||
