August Walk  - Set 2
Here is where the dune tour buggies access the beach. I estimated that we were about 2/3 done with the walk at this point.
There are some unique sites along the beach. It was mostly a family oriented area with a lot of fishing groups. Here someone has rigged their kayak with a pole-holder.
More fishing groups.
Having just taken a swim to cool off, the heat of the dunes wasn't oppressive.
Arlene keeps up the pace along the beach. After our swim we switched to barefoot walking but could not keep up the same pace. Having a schedule to meet our pick-up, we eventually switched back to sneakers.
After nearly three hours of walking (and swimming and sightseeing and dune investigation) we reached the old lifesaving station at Race Point. That is a story in itself for another time.
Race Point lifeguards call it a day.
