This performance set the state record. Previously they set the State Coaches Invitational meet record and the Hockomock Championship meet record. Although they only placed 2nd in the New Englands they went on to wn the Eastern States Championship at Hofstra University.

After winning the New Englands her junior year Emily moved over to the 300M Hurdles and won the state title by defeating a two-time state champion. In the heptathlon championship at Falmouth High School she moved from third to first on the second day of competition. By winning the 800M with a state heptathlon record time of 2:14.9 she broke Heather Francis's state record.

This team won the Class B Championship. They set the school record at the State Finals. They went on to place 3rd in New England at 48.88. Kristen McLoughlin was also on the 2006 record setting team.

Emily entered this meet as the #5 seed after placing third in the state finals. On a blistering hot day at Brown University, Emily kicked from 300M out to open a commanding lead and hold on for the title. She would go on to run a PR of 2:08 during her senior year of college at Yale University.
