Stopping by the Woods on a Shortened Run

Whose team this is I think I know
He’s standing back at school and so
He will not see me stopping here
To stretch my legs before I go

My teammates there must think it queer
To stop without a bathroom near
Between Mt. Hope and Lyman Street
The Spring Street hill is what I fear

The injury I try to fake
Will turn out to be a mistake
The pain of being singled out
When teammates think I am a flake

The hill is ugly, dark and steep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep
