D-Y girls were the big winners, taking home the D1 Team Trophy.
D-Y coach Jim Hoar has a lot to smile about.
Brockton is a surprise winner to many - but they really went after it.
But it's no surprise that Bromfield brought home the D2 team trophy. They were ranked #1 in the state all year.
Shrewsbury boys were not predicted to end up in the top three, but showed they belonged there.

The top three D1 girls were (L-R)

Jessica Barton, Newton North, 19:15

Caroline O'Loughlin, Boston Latin, 19:26

Dana Jamieson, Lincoln-Sudbury, 19:32

After the meet she's joined by her coach and teammates.
I took this picture before the meet. Little did I know Franklin was going to shock some very good teams . . .
and humble their coach. He was almost speechless.

The top three runners in the D2 Race.

1. Emily Jones, Bromfield, 18:39

2. Keely Maguire, Triron, 18:47

3. Jenna Davidner, Oliver Ames, 19:10

The scariest part is that they are SO, JR, FR.

Jenna finishing her race . . .
then checking out her medal . . .
before walking her dog. Notice the lucky blue ball she carries.
Jess Pickett had a great day finishing 15th.
Mike Moverman was another unheralded runner who had a big day. He was 3rd in the Hockomock League but also 3rd in the state finals. To his right is winner Gabe Pacione of Hamilton-Wenham and runner up Jeff Hill of BMR. To his left is 4th place Nick Campbell of Bishop Feehan and 5th place Colin Ogilvie of D2 runner-up Hopedale.
The OA team grabbed third place in the Division 2 race.
