Don't worry. The likelyhood that this will be the last time the Hocks is run at Borderland is slim. In fact, the subject only comes up occasionally as in "Hey, Do you think the Hocks should stay at Borderland Park?"

Some of the debates revolve around:

Borderland Park isn't spectator friendly.

Borderland Park is rich in Hockomock XC History.

Borderland Park has a narrow start that shrinks fast to an even narrower road.

Borderland Park has beautiful scenery.

The Borderland Park Course is too short for a championship meet.

Borderland Park is an easy course to learn.

It is not always possible to get the Borderland Park course when wanted.

Over the next two weeks the top athletes will get to compete at Borderland Park, and then the course that would most likely take its place if a change had to be made - Wrentham Development Center. In the interest of research, after running at both locations I'd like to hear the input of athletes, parents and coaches. It doesn't hurt to hear how people feel so drop me a line at northrunning@yahoo.com if you'd like to be heard.
