The trials of the 50 hurdles
Coach Estey and Flan discuss meet strategy
Waiting for the results of heat 1 dash trials
Heat 2 dash trials
Boys hurdle finals
Waiting for the results of the first event. The order of finish was #392, #120, #364. Alix and Christy start the meet off NA6-FR3.
Kelsey went on to win the shot put at 32'9"
Kathleen and Julianne go 1-2 in the dash to give NA their largest lead of the day at 14-4. Kathleen went on to also win the high jump. She has just moved into the Top-5 all-time in Winter Track career scoring.
One of the highlights of the day for my team was seeing Coach Bremer back in action.
Four North frosh
Anatomy of a mile record. Steph takes the race out at an even pace with Kathleen Ryan on her heels.
Steph continues to push the pace (2:38 at the 800M) with Ryan holding on.
Steph's efforts were only half rewarded. She set the perfect pace for Ryan, who went on to outkick Steph in the last lap. The strain of leading for most of the race is evident in her face.
Though Steph was disappointed, I was thrilled with the effort (notice my emmotional display). She's taken another step toward becoming one of the best distance runners in NA history. The reward was a new North Attleboro school record of 5:20.2, eclipsing Cheryl Lyons record set in 1991.
Boy's 600M
Amanda Parker runs her Franklin Field House PR of 1:44.5 to win the 600M.
Elijah in the 300M
Christian in the 300M
The strain of a good 300M is evident.
Kristen McLoughlin tied her field house PR of 45.0
Lauren Goldberg starts in the 300M
Sydney Weymouth shows the results of getting tripped up in the 300M.
Billy Card leads the deuce
Sara Casey gets my adversity award. She continues to push forward in recovery from a serious knee injury, still managing to work hard and stay upbeat.
Stephanie Moses ran a huge PR (about 25 seconds) to place third in the two mile.
Halfway through the 4X400M relay coach Estey is looking for a way to positively effect the outcome.

Nearing the finish, his only apparent option was to pull the fire alarm, but he missed his opportunity.

** notice - this is a JOKE. For those of you who are disappointed that my sense of humor may negatively influence impressionable minds, I add the following message. Kids, don't try this! Tampering with fire alarms is a serious offense that may result in fines or imprisonment.
