I just got back from the Hockomock League Championships where Mansfield boys and Franklin girls were the winners. Dan Darcy and Kailin Collins were the individual winners.

Though not among the league leaders, I was pleased with my own team's efforts as they finished ahead of two teams that had beaten them in the dual meets. Leading the charge for NA were senior captain Ashley Willox and junior Jenna Banks.

It was a big weekend for road races. Make sure to check out the list of North Attleboro runners who participated in the Tufts 10K and the BAA Half Marathon.

Special congrats go to Maureen "McDeed" Renzi who ran her first ever road race @ age 40. She aimed for 2:00 in the half marathon and easily beat it at 1:53.

There were also a lot of graduated Hock runners participating in the collegiate New England Championships. Karen Leenhouts sent along a few pictures.

Though I didn't get in the 35 miles I'd aimed for this week, I hit 32+ even after taking a day off. I finished up the week with a 5 mile run on Saturday followed by a two hour beach walk.

It is a slightly slower week on the HS level except for those teams headed to the Brown Invitational. I'll be following the college scene and this weekend I'll be trying out a new running spot in Pittsburgh.
